EXTRA CREDIT: Chemistry in My Life
Points Value: 15 extra points in the assignment category
Over the past quarter, we have been studying about chemical and physical reactions, changes, equations, and other related ideas. This week, you will show what you have learned in a presentation. This will show that you have learned what chemical and physical properties are, and how they are important in our everyday lives.
Instructions: You are going to create a Google presentation showing what you have learned about each of the following topics:
- Physical Properties
- Chemical Properties
- Physical Changes
- Chemical Changes
For each of these topics you will need to have:
- Definition of the topic (look in the reading from weeks three and four to find the definitions: HERE and HERE).
- Picture showing an example of how it is part of your everyday life.
Include a title slide, and a works cited slide as well.

Click HERE to open the template for this presentation. Make a copy of the template and then use it as a guide as you make your presentation. You can change the theme of the presentation, the fonts, and the colors. Make it look nice!

To submit this assignment:
- The presentation template will open in Google Presentations
- Choose File then Make a Copy (this will give you a version that you can type in)
- Complete the assignment and save the document in Google Docs as LASTNAME Assignment Name (ex. JENSEN Chemistry in My Life).
- When you are finished click Share in the right hand corner
- Under Who Has Access click Change
- Choose People at Mountain Heights Academy who have the link can view
- Choose from the drop down Access field: Allow anyone at Mountain Heights Academy to Edit and then click Save. (Checking this box allows your instructor to write comments on your assignment)
- Copy the Link to the document (the top field of the Sharing Settings window)
- To submit your assignment, in Moodle click Add Submission
- Paste the link to your Google Doc in the box
- Click Save Changes to submit your assignment
After you have completed this assignment, it will be marked as complete with a checkmark after it has been graded by the instructor.
