1. Describe 3 abiotic conditions (depth, salinity, temperature, etc.) of the Great Salt Lake.(3 points)

2. Explain how the 3 abiotic factors you listed in #1 change depending on the time of the year (winter vs. summer). (3 points)

3. Explain how the abiotic conditions affect the life cycle of the brine shrimp (i.e. hatching, reproducing, etc.) (2 points)

4. Limiting factors are resources or other factors in the environment that can lower the population growth rate.  List at least two limiting factors in the Great Salt Lake and explain why each one can be limiting. (2 points)
