EXTRA CREDIT: Add Your Teacher as a Contact in Google Hangouts (5 extra credit points)
Google Hangouts are our preferred method of communication at Mountain Heights Academy. With Hangouts, we can chat, call and video conference.
In order to see a teacher's hangout status (availability), you need to initiate a chat. When you start a chat for the first time, it automatically accepts that person as a contact and you will be able to see their status.
For this assignment, you will need to send me a quick chat.
1. Locate your Google Hangouts. It is on the left side of your school email.
2. Click the + symbol located to the right of your name. Start typing your teachers name or email address(Amy Pace or apace@mountainheightsacademy.org)
3. When you find their name, click on it. It will open a hangout chat window.
4. Type the following: Hi, this is (your name). I am adding you as a contact. Your teacher's online status will now appear for you in your hangout history.
5. Return to this assignment in the course. Click Add Submission and type, I have added my teacher as a contact.
6. Click Save Changes to submit your assignment
