ASSIGNMENT: Making Scientific Observations (10 Points)
As scientists, one important skill to develop is the ability to make scientific observations. Scientific observations do not include opinion or feelings, but rather focus on just what you can observe. Below is a good short clip on the Scientific Method that reviews what an observation is.
Instructions:
You will be creating a list of 10 scientific observations about anything of your choosing. Using Google Drive, follow the steps below to make a new document, and then share the link in the assignment submission box. You will need to include a title, your name, and the list of the ten observations.
NOTE: If you did not view the eclipse, please choose another topic to write your ten observations about. You can make scientific observations about anything!
Go to your Google Drive and then click New>Document in the left hand corner. This will open a new document in Google Docs.
Type/Complete your assignment, following the instructions above
When you are finished click Share in the right hand corner
Click Advanced and then Under Who Has Access click Change
Choose People at Mountain Heights Academy who have the link can view
Choose from the drop down access field: Allow anyone at Mountain Heights Academy to Comment and then click Save. (Checking this box allows your instructor to write comments on your assignment)
Copy the Link to the document (the top field of the Sharing Settings window)
To submit your assignment, in Moodle click Add Submission
Paste the link to your Google Doc in the box
Click Save Changes to submit your assignment
