ASSIGNMENT:  Making Scientific Observations (10 Points)

As scientists, one important skill to develop is the ability to make scientific observations.  Scientific observations do not include opinion or feelings, but rather focus on just what you can observe.  Below is a good short clip on the Scientific Method that reviews what an observation is.

Instructions:

You will be creating a list of 10 scientific observations about anything of your choosing.  Using Google Drive, follow the steps below to make a new document, and then share the link in the assignment submission box.  You will need to include a title, your name, and the list of the ten observations.

NOTE:  If you did not view the eclipse, please choose another topic to write your ten observations about.  You can make scientific observations about anything!

  1. Go to your Google Drive and then click New>Document in the left hand corner.  This will open a new document in Google Docs.

  2. Type/Complete your assignment, following the instructions above

  3. When you are finished click Share in the right hand corner
