7.1 ASSIGNMENT: Science Journal Life in Extremes (Due December 8)

Assignment:  Science Journal Life in the Extremes (20 points)

This week you learned about life that exists along the plate boundaries, or where hot spots are found.  This extreme environment is not for all living things, but the creatures that make their home there are just as important as any other living thing.  You are going to do a web-quest to find out some things about this type of environment.  Use the lesson links and do some research on your own as well.  

Instructions:

1. Click HERE to view the Google doc

2. Click FILE and MAKE A COPY. This will bring up a copy of the assignment you can type on.

3. Click FILE and RENAME. Rename the assignment LASTNAME_SciJournalExtremes (e.g. Pace Sci Journal Extremes). 

4. Click SHARE (upper right hand corner)

5. Click CHANGE (next to 'People at Mountain Heights Academy with the link can View')

6.Check the box "Allow Anyone at MHA to Edit" and then click SAVE (This allows your instructor to write comments on your assignment). 

7. Copy the LINK to the document (the top field of the SHARING SETTINGS window).

8. To submit the assignment, click EDIT MY SUBMISSION (in Moodle) and paste the document link.

9. Click the 'Save changes' button to submit

After you have completed this assignment, it will be marked as complete with a checkmark after it has been graded by the instructor.
