9. ASSIGNMENT: Breaking News Report (Due February 2)
You should have viewed and understood the lesson directions prior to beginning this assignment. They were posted in detail here.
You will be creating a google slide presentation for one of the data sets listed below, then record your voice presenting the data. Your job is to try and convince people that the correlation of your data implies causation.
Your recording will be shared with the class after I have viewed it and found it correct and appropriate. You can create your presentation anonymously if you'd like.
This assignment is worth 20 points.
You have 2 attempts on this assignment. If you are not happy with your score on your 1st submission then please look over my comments on your grade, ask for help if needed, make your corrections and resubmit it. In the text box on your second submission type "Please Regrade!"
This assignment is due on Friday, February 2nd at 6pm.
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Choose a data set to analyze and present:
2. Create a Google Slide Presentation of your data using this template. Make a copy of the template first and then add in the information from the data set you chose in step 1.
3. Use Screencastify to record your voice and your presentation. Remember, it's your job to convince me that correlation between your two variables IS CAUSATION. Review the directions on this page for how to use screencastify for this assignment.
4. When you have finished your recording (and you're happy with it!), copy the link to your recording. The recording is automatically saved in your Google Drive if you need to find it again.
5. Come back to this assignment page and click Add Submission.
6. Paste the link to your recording in the text box and click Save Changes.
After you have completed this assignment, it will be marked as complete with a checkmark after it has been graded by the instructor.
