EXTRA CREDIT ASSIGNMENT: Earth Day Service (Due April 23)
Earth Day Service (10 extra credit points)
Do a service related activity during the week prior to Earth Day (April 22) and you can earn 10 extra credit points! During the week of Monday, April 16 to Sunday April 22 participate in a service activity celebrating the environment. Your extra credit assignment is accepted for credit until 9am on Monday, April 23rd.
Here are some ideas, but you are NOT limited to these!:
- Cleaning up trash at a local park
- Collecting recyclable materials from your neighborhood and taking them to the recycling center,
- Creating an Earth Day commercial to share with your community describing an environmentally-friendly activity such as composting, using biodegradable materials or practicing energy saving techniques
- Use your imagination! Any service related activity pertaining to earth day will be accepted for extra credit
To earn your extra credit points you must submit the following:
- A short (1 paragraph) write up about your activity.
- Must include photos or video of you participating in your service activity in order to earn extra credit
