8.1 ASSIGNMENT: Ocean Habitats Presentation (Due May 18)
In this assignment, you will be creating a Google Doc or Prezi presentation (must include images) about one of the ocean habitat zones you learned about in this week's lessons .
Your presentation must include the following information:
- Which zone did you choose? (habitat zone choices = neritic, oceanic, bathyal, abyssal, hadal, or tidal) Provide a brief physical description and an image of this ocean zone. be sure to include the name of the zone. Describe where it is located in the ocean and the amount of sunlight this zone receives (e.g. aphotic, disphotic, euphotic). You must use one of these words in your presentation to describe the light. (10 points)
- Describe and show the organisms of this habitat zone: are they plankton, nekton, infauna or epifauna, primarily? You must use one or more of those words to describe the organisms in your zone. Provide some specific examples of animals and plants that live in this zone (include a description & image of at least 5 organisms). (10 points)
- Explain how 2 abiotic factors (nonliving things) are important to the ecosystems that exist in this zone. (5 points)
- Remember to cite your sources!

Go to your Google Docs and then click NEW>Slides in the left hand corner

Type/Complete your assignment

When you are finished click Share in the right hand corner

Click Advanced and then Under Who Has Access click Change

Choose People at Mountain Heights Academy who have the link can view

Choose from the drop down Access field: Allow anyone at Mountain Heights Academy to Edit and then click Save. (Checking this box allows your instructor to write comments on your assignment)

Copy the Link to the document (the top field of the Sharing Settings window)

To submit your assignment, in Moodle click Add Submission

Paste the link to your Google Doc in the box

Click Save Changes to submit your assignment
