Predicting Unknown Values
Trendlines and regression equations are great tools for us to use when we want to predict unknown values in our data set. Watch the videos below to see examples of this.
Two vocabulary words to keep in mind and in your notes:
Interpolation: predicting unknown values within the domain of observed values
Extrapolation: predicting unknown values outside the domain of observed values

Please keep in mind that a lower case "e" is different than an upper case "E".
