Data Informed Decision Making

Data should be a the heart of any decision we make. That data may be numerical or maybe it's just personal experience. But how do we make sure that we make the BEST decisions?

The current recommendation from MHA is, if you want to be successful in math, you need to spend at least 1 hour per day working in your math class.

This recommendation was determined based on a very thorough analysis of numerical data gathered over the 9 years MHA has been a school. This recommendation is also based on the personal experience of the administrators and educators making the recommendation.

In order to make the best decisions, you need to find the balance between relying on numerical data and personal experience.

In an upcoming assignment YOU will be asked to make a decision on what the time recommendation should be if students are to be successful in their math classes. While it's important that you back up your decision with numerical data, it's also important for you to use your head and think about your personal experiences with this topic.
