Independent & Dependent Events

In this lesson video you will learn how to differentiate between independent and dependent events. This is in preparation for learning a new probability rule, the Multiplication Rule. Please include these definitions in your notes:

Independent Events: two events are independent if the occurrence of one of the events does not affect the likelihood of the other event.

Dependent Events: two events are dependent if the occurrence of one of the events does affect the likelihood of the other event.
