Carrying capacity: the supportable population of a given species in a location

Green Revolution: advancement in agricultural technology that occurred between the 1940s-1960s and improved agricultural productivity

Population: the total number of individuals of a single species in a particular location 

Population growth: increase in the number of individuals who inhabit an area; change in population over time

Population growth rate: how quickly a population changes over time

Soil: mixture of eroded rock, minerals, partially decomposed organic matter and other materials.
