7. ASSIGNMENT: Science in Action - Rock Candy Lab (Due Nov. 3)

SCIENCE IN ACTION:  Rock Candy (20 points)

Reminder: Parent must be present when working on any experiments at home. This Experiment requires the use of a stove and extremely hot liquid. Do not attempt this experiment without your parent home!

1. Click here to open the Science In Action: Rock Candy worksheet. The worksheet will open in Google Docs. 
   
2. Choose File then Make a Copy. This will give you a copy that you can type in. 
   
3. Complete the assignment and save the document in Google Docs as LASTNAME Assignment Name. 
   
4. When you are finished click Share in the right hand corner. 
   
5.  Change the sharing setting to Anyone at Mountain Heights Academy can comment. This will allow your teacher to comment on your assignment. 
   
6. Click Copy Link 
   
7. To submit your assignment, return to this page and click Add Submission 
   
8. Paste the link to your Google Doc in the box (cntl+v)
   
9. Click Save Changes to submit your assignment
   

It is important that you have hands-on science lab experiences. This does take a little effort on your part, but it is a worthwhile learning activity. If you are having trouble accessing the material for the lab please contact Mrs. Gibbons.
