Salem Witch Trial Presentation (15 Points)

Create a Google presentation about the Salem Witch Trials.  Your presentation should include at least 4 slides and follow the layout below:

Title slide (optional)

Slide 1- Basic overview: Summary of events in 5 to 7 sentences- 3 points

Slide 2- 3 Key figures: Write a short bio (3-5 sentences) for 3 of following people - Cotton Mather, Anne Putnam, Tituba, Sarah Good and John Proctor. -6 points

Slide 3- Causes: Identify 4 of the possible causes of the hysteria- 4 points (Make sure you use the resource READ: Puritans & Reasons for Witch Trials for information)

Slide 4- Answer the following questions: What can we learn by studying the Salem Witch Trials?  How does learning about this event in American History help us to best safeguard and improve our system of justice?- answer using complete sentences 2 points

To submit your assignment:

  1. Go to your Google Drive and then click New>Slides in the left hand corner

  2. Type/Complete your assignment

  3. When you are finished click Share in the right hand corner

  4. Under Who Has Access click Change

  5. Choose People at Mountain Heights Academy who have the link can view

  6. Choose from the drop down Access field: Allow anyone at Mountain Heights Academy to Edit and then click Save. (Checking this box allows your instructor to write comments on your assignment)

  7. Copy the Link to the document (the top field of the Sharing Settings window)

  8. To submit your assignment, in Moodle click Add Submission

  9. Paste the link to your Google Doc in the box

  10. Click Save Changes to submit your assignment





After you have completed this assignment, it will be marked as complete with a checkmark after it has been graded by the instructor.
