3.1 ASSIGNMENT: Owl Pellet Lab (Due September 14)

Owl Pellet Lab (25 points)

Instructions: You will need the Owl Pellet that came in your science supply kit for this assignment.  Watch this Video First.

1. Place some newspaper or regular paper on a flat surface.
   
2. Peel the foil off the owl pellet.
   
3. Carefully pull apart the pellet.  Pull the fur off the pieces of bones to reveal skulls.  You can look at the other bones in the pellet, but for this activity you just need the skulls.
   
4. Once you have all the skulls collected, use this key to determine what animal the skull belongs to. 
   
5. Click here to open the Worksheet. The worksheet will open in Google Docs.
   
6. Choose File then Make a Copy.  This will give you a copy that you can type in. 
   
7. Complete the assignment and save the document in Google Docs as LASTNAME Assignment Name.
   
8. When you are finished click Share in the right hand corner
   
9. Change the sharing setting to Anyone at Mountain Heights Academy can comment. This will allow your teacher to comment on your assignment. 
   
10. Click Copy Link
    
11. To submit your assignment, return to this page and click Add Submission
    
12. Paste the link to your Google Doc in the box (cntl+v)
    
13. Click Save Changes to submit your assignment
    

After you have completed this assignment, it will be marked as complete with a checkmark after it has been graded by the instructor.
