9.1 ASSIGNMENT: Everyday Reactions Presentation (Due March 22)

ASSIGNMENT: Everyday Reactions Presentation (20 points)

For this assignment you will choose a chemical reaction to investigate. You will create a presentation about the reaction. Your presentation must include the following information:

  • The correct chemical equation for the reaction. 
  • The correct names of each chemical in the reaction.
  • A written description of what happens during the reaction. 
  • A description of where the reaction takes place. 
  • A description of why the reaction is important. 
  • An explanation of why you chose to research the reaction. 
  • Include a list of all sources you use. 
  • Also, be sure to include pictures and create an organized and visually appealing presentation. 


You can present the information in any format you would like. You could use Google Slides, a Prezi, a poster, etc. Choose a reaction from any area that interests you. Some ideas to help you get started could include:

  • reactions found in living organisms
  • reactions that happen during cooking or cleaning
  • reactions used in medicine or in the medical industry
  • reactions used to create products in factories or business
  • reactions found in the environment such as acid rain
  • reactions used in hair products, fireworks, explosives, art, etc. 


  

Submission Instructions: 

    1. Complete the assignment

    2. Click Add Submission

    3. Drag and drop the file into the File Submissions box, or paste a link to your presention in the submission box.

    4. Click Save Changes


After you have completed this assignment, it will be marked as complete with a checkmark after it has been graded by the instructor.
