Rough Draft

At this point, you have already the following steps in the writing process for your Romeo and Juliet essay:

  • created a thesis
  • drafted your introduction paragraph
  • outlined your body paragraphs
  • drafted your conclusion paragraph

Now it is time to move on to your rough draft.

1. Click here to access a document that will walk you through the steps you need to create a stellar rough draft. Please use the links on the document to help you improve your writing in areas where you are weak.

2. Click here to view a sample essay for a similar essay which discusses Shakespeare's Hamlet.  Note the proper use of in-text citations and MLA format.

3. Once you are done with your rough draft, take some time away from it and then proofread it. You will turn in the final draft of the essay for a grade next week.

You will not turn your rough draft in for a grade; however, if you would like your teacher to look over what you have, feel free to contact her.
