NOUNS &  VERBS

A sentence must have a subject and a verb, or it is incomplete. The subject of a sentence will always be a noun. Here is a little reminder of what a noun is:

A verb is an action. If the subject of your sentence isn't doing anything, you have an incomplete sentence, or what we English teachers like to refer to as a fragment. Here is a reminder of what a verb is:
